Check out the great work of the Merritt Parkway Conservancy. And, currently CTDOT is studying the feasibility of building a multi-use trail in the right-of-way of the Merritt Parkway. The trail would be used by pedestrians, bicyclists and others and would be adjacent to the roadway. MPC invites you to stay informed about the progress of the study and what the trail might mean to you as a neighbor of the Merritt Parkway.

The Newtown Underwater Search and Rescue (NUSAR) and Dutch Springs are sponsoring a fundraiser to benefit the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School. Please join Newtown Underwater Search and Rescue (NUSAR), public safety divers, and emergency first responders from around the globe in a dive in memory of the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary School and in honor of all the first responders who answered the call or who have ever answered the call of duty.

With heavy hearts we laid a wreath yesterday dedicated to the fallen at Sandy Hook Elementary School our neighboring community here in Connecticut. Our deepest sympathy and prayers for healing to the families. The United Way of Western Connecticut in partnership with Newtown Savings Bank has created the Sandy Hook School Support Fund that will be able to provide support services to the families and community that has been affected.
